Event Emergency Kits

Whether you are planning a Wedding or a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, you want your special day to be flawless. While I don't wish you anything but perfection at your event, it is always better to be safe than sorry. Even the most girly-girl need to think like a boy scout and "BE PREPARED". That is why if you are not using a party planner who comes prepared with their own "Emergency Kit", I recommend putting together your own kit to keep at your event venue. A little pre-emptive planning which anticipates all possible "minor" disasters will be well worth it . A well stocked "Emergency Kit" should include:
- Pain Reliver such as Motrin or Tylenol
- Band-Aids for everything from blisters to blood
- A bottle of water
- Clear nail polish for stocking runs
- Dental floss and/or toothpicks
- Eye drops and/or saline solution
- Extra panty hose/Spanx
- Bobby pins, barettes or ponytail holders
- Hand towelettes
- Hem tape
- Mini sewing kit
- Safety pins
- Scotch tape
- Small scissors
- Smelling salts (my brother fainted at my wedding, we could have used these)
- Shout Wipes or Tide Stick
- Static Cling spray
- Straws (stay hydrated during photos without messing up any lipstick)
- Tissues
- Tweezers
- Mints and/or Breath Spray
- Comb and/or brush
- Cash
- Hairspray
- Nail File
- Krazy Glue
- Perfume
- Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Blotting Sheets - one of my all-time favorite products
- Tampons/Pads
- Hollywood Fashion Tape (for straps & hems)
- Antacid
- Foot Petals (another one of my favorite inventions)
- Insect repellent for outdoor events or outdoor photo sessions
- Chalk (to cover any last minute smudges on a wedding dress)
After your event, you can refill any items that you used and pass it on to a friend who is planning a special event of her own.
